Overall the tight end group is seen as weak by many fantasy gurus. This observation has some recommending taking Rob Gronkowski in the high first round, something that I can’t get on board with. When I look at the position what I see is a lot of mid to late round talent that can be had much later then the 1st or 2nd round. Last year 12 tight ends had 90 or more targets and 11 had 60 or more catches. With late round guys like Jason Witten, Delanie Walker, and Zach Ertz, it’s ok to pass on the big two at the position.
