1. Jeremy Hill vs. Chargers Defense
Jeremy Hill had a very average game against a surprisingly strong Raiders run defense. While Hill was gaining yards in Oakland, Lions rookie Ameer Abdullah was shredding San Diego’s defense to the tune of 50 yards on just seven carries. Abdullah ripped off a nice 24-yard touchdown run, breaking Eric Weddle‘s ankles on his way into the end zone. San Diego’s run defense is very suspect, so Jeremy Hill should have a big chance to make some plays.
Hill led the NFL in rushing over the second half of the 2014 season and is looking to return to form–he will have the chance to do so in matching up with this shaky defense, as San Diego has been notoriously weak against the run in the past. With Cincinnati’s offensive line playing great football and eager for revenge, this is matchup that Hue Jackson is eager to exploit.
