Special Teams: A-
Brandon Tate continues to be an insane liability as a kick returner; he returned three kicks and never seemed to even reach the 15-yard-line. Other than that, however, Cincinnati’s special teams were key to winning this game. Kevin Huber blasted all of his punts down the field, giving the Bengals great field position; two of those punts were downed inside the five-yard-line. Mike Nugent made the field goal to send the game into overtime and then finished it off with a clunker off the upright that somehow managed to win the game for Cincinnati.
You could’t ask for much better from Adam Jones in the return game. He made two fantastic punt returns late in the game, giving the Bengals offense great field position to march down and score. Another one of our three keys to victory against the Seahawks was to win the battle of field position; the Bengals certainly won that battle on Sunday.
