One of our three keys to the game was to contain Russell Wilson, and that’s exactly what the linebackers did on Sunday. Vincent Rey had 13 total tackles and Rey Maualuga put up with eight of his own; both linebackers contributed a pass deflection apiece, as well. Emmanuel Lamur made a couple of nice plays, collecting half a sack and a tackle for a loss on the day. A.J. Hawk made four tackles as well, one of which was a huge run-top in the fourth quarter on a stalled Seattle drive.
The linebackers were shaky to start the game, but they came back and shut down the run game in the fourth quarter, giving the Bengals the opportunity to get the ball back and make the huge comeback.
