Week 6 MVP: Marvin Jones

In week six, the Bengals faced the Buffalo Bills. Fresh off a great victory against the Seattle Seahawks, the Bengals would now face a top Rex Ryan defense and an offense that had the likes of Lesean McCoy, Tyrod Taylor, Percy Harvin, Sammy Watkins, Charles Clay and more.

Ironically, the last time Cincinnati played a Rex Ryan team, Marvin Jones went for four touchdowns and 122 yards on only 8 catches. In this matchup, Marvin Jones would once again dominate a very good Rex Ryan defense. Jones went for 95 yards and a touchdown on 9 catches.

At the time, the Bengals were 5-0 and one game away from their bye week. With what was originally a very tough schedule, being able to go into the bye week undefeated would benefit the Bengals a great deal. Cincinnati went into a snowy Buffalo game and brought back a win thanks to Marvin Jones.

As the season moves on, Jones is set to become a free agent at the conclusion of the season. However, after leading his team in receiving in week 6, Jones is quietly making a case for his return to the Queen City as well as a candidate for comeback player of the year. Jones has ben playing very well in his return to football and now is currently tied with Eifert for being named MVP for the week. The Comeback player of the year will likely come down to Jones or Eifert.
