The 8-2 Cincinnati Bengals will host the 4-6 St. Louis Rams at 1pm today. The Rams come into the game with the 12th best defense in the league (337  yards allowed) and 10th best in points allowed per game (19.9). Their offense however is second to last in total offense (299 Yards/Game) and second to last in points per game (17.9). Anytime your points scored is less than points allowed, you aren’t going to win many games.

The Bengals rank 16th in total yards allowed per game (343), but their points allowed tells another story. The Bengals defense has only allowed 18.6 points per game, which ranks fourth in the league. The offense is ranked seventh with 376 yards per game and fifth in points scored per game, 26.2. Andy Dalton and the offense will look to continue their offensive dominance they had in the first half of the season, while Geno Atkins and the defense looks to keep the Rams offense down.

The Bengals will be looking to get themselves back in the win column at home after dropping their last two games. They still hold a two game lead on the Pittsburgh Steelers and tied for the second spot in the AFC, with the Denver Broncos. The Rams are still holding onto fading Wild Card hopes. If the Bengals can pull off a win, they will keep themselves in control of the AFC north and in control of their destiny in the AFC, with one game still to play against the Denver Broncos. Will they be able to return to winning football this week?
