Reggie Nelson

got his sixth interception, which killed a late first half drive.

George Iloka

made an great read and cut off a pass for his first of the season. How does this warrant an A+? Easy, their play was consistent and they made a big impact on key plays.

Nelson had one pass deflection and two solo tackle on top of his interception in the red zone. George Iloka had two pass deflections, a tackle for loss, three solo tackles, one assist, and of course his pick. Not a bad day for two guys playing for their professional future.

Cornerbacks: A

Tavon Austin

was a menace for the Bengals defense, he ran sweeps, caught some open passes, and well beat these corners on their first possession of the second quarter. Outside of one other drive, the Rams really couldn’t sustain a drive, thanks to the pass defense. Including the Bengals first defensive touchdown this season thanks to

Leon Hall

‘s interception at the 19 yard line.

Dre Kirkpatrick led the day with 10 tackles and 3 pass deflections. Leon Hall also had a step up performance with six tackles, two pass deflections, and his pick-6. Adam Jones had a limited game, and luckily didn’t have to do to much with four tackles. The Bengals secondary found a way to shut down Kenny Britt, Tavon Austin, and Too Gurley, who was practically a ghost in the back field this week.
