Adam Jones Rules Self Out for Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium, but one Bengals has already called himself out for Sunday’s game. Adam “Pacman” Jones told ESPN’s Coley Harvey that he will not be participating in this week’s game but can hopefully go next week.

Adam Jones has played an incredible role in this teams passing defense and will be a huge loss against the Steelers. The Bengals, who are already short at corner, will turn to Troy Hill, who was recently called up from the practice squad, and Josh Shaw, who had a solid performance against Cleveland.

Hill had a great showing against Cleveland for his first performance in the NFL, but will have the toughest test of his short NFL career, facing off against the three fastest receivers in the league. This means Dre Kirkpatrick will be matched up against Marcus Wheaton, Josh Shaw, who was involved in a bad collision last week, will most likely cover Martavis Bryant, and Leon Hall, if he goes match up with Antonio Brown.

Adam Jones will play a vital role in stopping the Broncos passing attack, so the final three games may be in focus more than anything for Jones. We hope Jones heals up quickly and can get back on the field, the Bengals will need his leadership heading into the final games and playoffs.
