The Bengals are riding high after their fourth division win of the season and earning the top rank in the AFC. Cincinnati will have no time to enjoy their new status, as they must host the red hot Pittsburgh Steelers. Since their last meeting, the Steelers have won three of their last four games and scored more than thirty points in each game.
The Steelers offense has been top notch, and is ranked second in total yards and sixth in points. Pittsburgh is at their best in December, and have not lost a game since December 8, 2013. This may be the toughest test yet for the Bengals, as they’re playing what could be considered a playoff style game.
Pittsburgh’s recent success can be attributed to the outstanding play of QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Antonio Brown, and back up RB DeAngelo Williams. These players represent the biggest threats to the Bengals, and will be the top targets for Cincinnati’s defense to shut down. Each of these players have overcome adversity this season, and brings a different dynamic to the Steelers offense. In order to defeat such a complex adversary it is critical to understand how each one of them tick.
