Currently, 15 Bengals players are set to hit free agency after the season. Here are the Bengals’ top five must-sign pending free agents.

1. Marvin Jones

Marvin Jones was a major piece in helping to free up and add another passing threat for Andy Dalton, and eventually A.J. McCarron. He had a career high season, just one year removed from having surgery on his foot and missing the entire 2014 season.

He posted 65 catches for 815 yards and four touchdowns during the 2015 regular season. In his Wild Card showing, he caught four passes for 32 yards including a huge fourth down catch that kept the Bengals second to last drive going earning the first down and it eventually ended in a go ahead touchdown.

Marvin Jones has been a big part of this teams success and deserves a good pay day. The issue, for other teams in the league he could be a number one wide receiver. That means that what the Bengals may have to pay to keep him is bigger than they can afford or should pay for a number two wide receiver.

In his three years that he has seen action, in a total of 43 games, he has 134 catches, 1,729 yards, and 15 touchdowns. He has a 62.3 reception percentage compared to targets and has 12.9 yards per catch on average. Not bad for a guy stuck behind one of the top NFL wide receivers.
