Cincinnati Bengals: Possible Landing Spots for Andre Smith

The Cincinnati Bengals have a lot of free agents in this 2016 offseason. The majority of the offensive free agents have hit the road and Andre Smith may be next.
Player: Andre Smith
2015 Salary: $6,362,500
Free Agent Position Ranking: 6
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Andre Smith in the first round of the 2009 draft. The 6th overall pick in that years draft has been the right tackle for the Bengals ever since, however his up and down play has always left Who Dey Nation a little perplexed when dealing with his contract. There have been times when Smith has looked like the best offensive tackle in the league, but at the same time, there have also been times when his play on the field left Cincinnati needing a upgrade at the position.
Last year, the Bengals selected offensive tackles Cedric Ogbuehi and Jake Fisher in the opening two rounds of the draft. With Andre Smith in his last year of his contract, the extension given to Andrew Whitworth almost completely spelled Smith’s last year in Cincinnati. At only 29 years old, the former Alabama product will be looking for another city to call home. Hopefully for Smith, his second time entering free agency will go better than his first.
Let’s face it, Smith would certainly be welcomed back to Cincinnati if it wasn’t for the youth and talent at the position. He may not be the player he once was, but he is without a doubt a very talented player who can protect quarterbacks efficiently. With that in mind, where will Smith’s next destination be?
