Cincinnati Bengals: 3 Possible First Round Draft Picks

Corey Coleman
Named “College Footballs most freakish player” and “College Footballs most explosive player” by NFL.com, ladies and gentlemen, welcome Corey Coleman. Coleman is a wide receiver from Baylor who just turned in one of the most impressive seasons by a wide receiver. Coleman, at 5’11” 194 lbs is a kid who can absolutely fly in the blink of an eye. In 2015, Coleman was the nation’s top receiver posting 74 catches, 1,363 yards and a staggering 20 touchdowns. At the NFL combine, Coleman recorded a vertical of 40.5″ and a broad jump of 10’9″. Coleman would be a great addition to the receiving corps playing opposite of AJ Green.
Strengths: Extremely explosive, with the ability to draw defenses to either give cushion or bring a safety high. Shows great ability at coming back and getting the ball. Very easy and smooth runner, but has the agility to make guys miss after the catch. Coleman has experience at returning and could be a real threat returning punts.
Weaknesses: At 5’11”, he is a bit undersized to be an outside the numbers guy in the NFL, even though that’s where he excelled in college. Had 10 drops in 2015, most of them coming from the middle of the field. At times Coleman will let the defender get into him, causing him to be taken out of the play.
Comparison: DeSean Jackson
