In this crazy world of Free Agency, where us as Bengals fans have wondered what will come next, we could possibly be on the verge of getting an answer. A good answer at that.
Free Agent Linebacker and former Cleveland Brown Karlos Dansby is visiting with the Bengals as a possible addition to the roster. Dansby was released by Cleveland a few weeks ago in what looks to be the beginning of a “rebuilding” stage in Cleveland. Stop me if you have heard the words “Cleveland” and “rebuilding” in the same sentence before.
Dansby recently expressed interest in playing for a Super Bowl Contender and even mentioned the Bengals as a team he would have interest in playing for. He had this to say recently to ESPN:
"“It’s time for me to get a ring, this is going to get me closer to my destiny and I’m cool with that.” Dansby was also quoted saying “Yeah, I think the Bengals are licking their chops right now, I hope they are. We’ll see what it is.”"
Karlos Dansby’s last season with the Browns was a pretty good year, despite being 34 years old. According to espn.com he recorded 108 tackles and added three interceptions to his stat line as well. Dansby has also accrued interest from the Seattle Seahawks during his free agency as well.
With a team that is a little slim at the Linebacker position, Dansby could be a great addition to go along with players like Vontaze Burfict, Vincent Rey and Rey Maualuga.
