As usual, the Cincinnati Bengals were rather inactive during agency. They made it a priority to re-sign their guys, and not reach out to any other free agents. As a former Packers writer, I am used to this inactivity when it comes to the offseason, but other fans may not be. It seems like more and more professional teams are following the “draft and develop” philosophy, with great success, and the Bengals are one of those teams. With that being said, the Bengals have a lot of options this year, with a glaring need at the wide receiver position, the secondary needing to be solidified, and defensive line depth an issue.

More from Cincinnati Bengals Draft

This year’s draft is an intriguing one, due to it being defensive heavy, and with tons of talent at positions like defensive line and linebacker. At both positions, there are guys that are dominant at the top end, and guys that can flat-out play in the later rounds. Just to throw a few names out there, Kenny Clark, Sheldon Day, Vernon Butler, Kentrell Brothers, Todd Matakevich, and Joe Schobert, who we recently had an interview with, are some guys that will be picked on Day 2 and 3 that will be making an impact come Sundays.
