Cincinnati Bengals: Would You Rather Edition

Darqueze Dennard vs. William Jackson III
Darqueze Dennard has fought injuries last season and has been a little underwhelming in his first two season. Dennard was taken out last season with a shoulder injury that required surgery. He also suffered injuries in 2014 with a hip injury missing week one and the final week of the preseason.
Injuries can be a big concern but his potential is still great. Dennard is expected to be a starting corner and take more of a role in 2016 but the Bengals decided to add a contingency plan, not only due to injuries, but to eventually replace Adam Jones. Should William Jackson III be a big role player in 2016, possibly to overtake Darqueze Dennard?
Jackson III is entering his rookie year after being the Bengals first round draft pick in April. Jackson’s speed is solid and has the potential to grow into one of the leagues best corners. However, the Bengals reputation with rookies could hurt Jackson’s chances to make a huge impact in year one.

Jackson III was a talented player at the University of Houston. Although not being a part of a major conference leaves a few questions, like playing against a much higher ranked team in the NCAA bowl and being able to hold their own. Jackson could be a vital part to depth right off the bat, especially with injuries last season to Adam Jones, Darqueze Dennard, and Dre Kirkpatrick.
Decision: Both
Lets face it, if you make the 53-man roster, you are a vital part of this team. The Bengals had a solid draft but will have to prove it one the field once again. If they can find a way to win a playoff game, it will end a 26 year drought. If they don’t, it is a matter of time before they head the wrong direction.
