Bengals Depth Chart Projections

Center
C1: Russell Bodine
Russell Bodine is entering his third season as the Bengals center and although there was progress from his rookie year to last season, it still was behind where Bengals fans would have liked. The coaching staff, on the other hand, has spoken highly of his progress and he is expected to continue at center, barring injury.
Bodine and quarterback Andy Dalton have had a decent exchange and snap timing, with only a few missed balls to speak of. His blocking has been the concern but with most centers, it is a tough position to play do to multiple responsibilities.
C2: Christian Westerman
Christian Westerman could arguably be in line for a guard position, especially if there is an injury. However, many people feel he was brought in for his work and ability at center, to compete for the center position against Bodine.
Westerman’s success at Arizona State, in a program that grew exponentially last season, was proof of the value the Bengals got in the fifth round. His career could go a couple of ways, if the Bengals can not re-sign Kevin Zeitler, it could mean he shifts to the guard position. If they can get something done, he could be in line to fight not only for a rotation at guard, but could be at center if Bodine struggles again in 2016.
