The 2015 season was a combination of cheers and tears. The Bengals started the year with a boatload of promise. An 8-0 start propelled them to the forefront of the “undefeated” argument. There were the diehard fans who envisioned the team running the table and claiming Super Bowl L. On the other hand, there were the haters who were entrenched in the flameout theory.
As usual, the whole gamut of emotions was felt by Bengals fans. But, the majority of the interesting theories came from Stilluh fans and their close friends (a.k.a bandwagoners). Being a lifelong fan (since 1975), I listened to the put-downs with a sly smirk on my face.
Could some of the snide remarks be true? Nah. True Bengals fans are able to roll with the punches and respond with the facts (cue Dragnet theme music and chill). It’s not always so easy to be a Bengals fan. But, the bottom line is simple. We know why our team rocks.
