Bengals training camp hasn’t started and players are still getting the kinks out in OTAs. But, there’s still enough info for way too early predictions.

‘Tis the season to be courageous. By that, I mean being as positive as possible for the home team. After watching the Bengals stumble and stall through a 6-9-1 season, the 2017 campaign has to be better. Right? Who would have imagined the carnage that befell the Bengals? Even The Amazing Kreskin would have been bewildered and befuddled, with the performance Cincinnati turned in. But, hopefully, the draft class will have something to say about the state of affairs in the Queen City.

Being a homer, it would be easy to throw some wild sayings into the air. But, that’s not what fans want to hear. Diehard believers want to feel like there’s a chance the predictions will actually happen. There’s nothing like reading a bunch of hooey that sounds like any toddler could’ve written it.

It’s way too early to be dead set on what will happen for the Bengals. The stage is set for any number of things to go right as well as wrong. Marvin Lewis has his back to the wall and has to get the best out of his players. This will be the year that Bengals fans get to witness what Lewis is truly made of. Mike Brown has yet to offer the Marvelous One a contract extension. Many fans have begun to believe that no matter what happens during the season, Lewis has a job for life in Cincinnati. But, things could get truly interesting.

As OTAs take place and training camp eventually cranks into gear, the scenario will change. But, it’s like a house of cards. One strong gust of wind and….With that said, don’t get crazy and pull your hair out. Go with the flow and check out the predictions
