Bengals post free agent frenzy mailbag questions

The Cincinnati Bengals have made some signings in free agency but the first week is over. How do we feel about the moves?
The Cincinnati Bengals gave us plenty to talk about in this weeks mailbag with their moves over the last week and a half. They traded with the Buffalo Bills to acquire left tackle Cordy Glenn, signed defensive tackle Chris Baker and inside linebacker Preston Brown, and they re-signed tight end Tyler Eifert and punter Kevin Huber. They also let guys like running back Jeremy Hill and center Russell Bodine find new homes in free agency.
It’s rare that the Bengals make any kind of noise during the free agency period outside of their own guys. When head coach Marvin Lewis was retained for another two years he stated that it was time that the team got better including at bringing guys in from other clubs. He’s kept true to his word by bringing in some immediate impact players who are sure upgrades over the guys they are replacing. While they are not the top names of free agency, they are still players that will help this team get back to the playoffs hopefully in 2018.
In this mailbag article, we will tackle questions and concerns that you as the fans have and answer them to the best of our abilities. We will start doing these once a week so keep an eye out on the Twitter and Facebook pages for posts asking for your questions. Our writers want to know what you guys think whether it’s questions about the team or topics you want to see discussed. Let us know anytime if you have any questions or topics you want written about.
