The Cincinnati Bengals have released the schedule for their 2018 training camp which starts on July 26 and runs through August 11.
As football season gets closer, the Cincinnati Bengals have released their 2018 training camp schedule which will start on July 26th. Fans will be able to attend 13 practices this year, including Family Day, which will take place on Saturday, August 4 at 12:00 p.m. ET at Paul Brown Stadium. The rest of the practices will be held on the practice fields next to the stadium. Fans will be able to enter camp on the corner of Central Avenue and Pete Rose Way.
There will be evening practices held on Friday, August 3. Fans will be able to acquire autographs from their favorite players after each practice. This marks the seventh year that training camp will be held in Cincinnati. Camp opens two weeks before the Bengals’ first preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, August 9. The regular season will kickoff for the Bengals on September 9, where the team will go on the road to face the Indianapolis Colts.
Family Day will include fun for all ages including young children with face painting, balloon artists, inflatables, and pictures with the team mascot Who Dey and an NFL Play 60 Activity Zone. This practice will be a warm-up for the Bengals as they prepare for their first preseason game. All the practices are free entry and fans can bring small soft-sided coolers, unopened bottles of water and food. There will also be Bengals merchandise available for purchase.
The first 53 fans who show a Fifth Third Bank Bengals Debit Card upon entry each session will be upgraded to the Fifth Third Reserved Bleacher Seats and take home a Bengals seat cushion. What is a better way for Bengals fans to start their 2018 football season off with going to training camp?
As the Bengals have been very quiet about what they are doing at OTA workouts and mandatory minicamps, this will be an excellent chance for fans to see what the team will look like for the first time. Personally, I’m excited to see the players on the right side of the offensive line fight for starting time. As we all know, the left half of the offensive line will consist of newly acquired left tackle Cordy Glenn, left guard Clint Boling, and first-round pick center Billy Price. This will be the first time that Price will be able to take on defensive linemen as he has been rehabbing his injury sustained at the NFL combine.
The right guard and tackle positions are still open for grabs and will be fun to keep an eye on through training camp and preseason. Other positional groups I’m interested in following is the wide receiver group which is loaded with untapped potential. Behind A.J. Green, there are plenty of young players like John Ross and Tyler Boyd looking to fight for a starting role this season.
Next: Bengals offensive line is relatively cheap in 2018
There are also undrafted free agents that are exciting like quarterback Quinton Flowers who made the switch to running back with Cincinnati. Edge rusher Ja’von Rolland-Jones and Chris Worley will also be fun guys to watch fight for a spot on the defensive side of the ball. If you want to get your first look at the Bengals before preseason, training camp is the time to do it. Come to meet the players after practices and get your footballs and hats signed for your favorite players.
