There are a handful of guys fighting for a roster spot on the Bengals right now who haven’t been discussed much. Here’s a quick snippet on each one.

The two guys who Bengals fans should care about the most at running back are obviously Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard. We have spent a lot of time discussing them, though, and not as much on the guys backing them up. Mixon and Bernard complement each other well, but there are gaps in their collective games. The Bengals have a big crop of backup running backs right now that they can use to fill in those gaps.

Usually, the Bengals will keep between 3 and 4 running backs on the 53-man roster, with another on the practice squad. Currently, there are seven running backs on the roster, following the release of Old Dominion UDFA Raw Lawry. Aside from Mixon and Bernard, the backs are Mark Walton, Brian Hill, Tra Carson, Quinton Flowers, and Jarveon Williams.
