Low: Offensive line needs work

The offensive line has really lacked in the last couple games, and seems to be disappointing relative to expectations. The run blocking is particularly disappointing, as the transition to zone blocking may be too much for the line. The starting running backs aren’t getting any lanes, although the pass blocking has been better. The struggles lie primarily on the right side of the line, but it’s not as if the left side has been outstanding.

Speaking of the left side, Cordy Glenn, the newly acquired left tackle, is struggling with injury again. He exited the game with a shoulder injury, which could have been serious. Although he seemed to escape without major injury, the concern with Glenn has always been health. Glenn is one of the few strong points along the line, and if he can’t stay healthy this season, the O-line could be in real trouble.
