Cody Core

Core’s name could easily be replaced by Auden Tate’s, but I would like to think that Tate has made this team for good. Core has been injured for a while, now, which has hindered his ability to contribute to this team. Although he has obvious value on special teams, there are other players who can fill that role.

What the Bengals may do is place Core on IR to start the year, which would free a roster spot up to add depth on defense. Core’s injury certainly seems significant enough to warrant IR placement. If not, though, they may have to waive Core to get another defender on the team. The Bengals traditionally keep only six receivers, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Core still miss the team.
