Find a Head Coach who commands locker room respect

Hiring a coach who does not garner respect from his players could take this average Bengals team and turn it nuclear. Head coach Marvin Lewis seems to have left office with a high approval rating, but that doesn’t excuse the mediocrity that defined his tenure. For this reason, hiring a coach such as Hue Jackson would be a disastrous for the team, as he was notorious in Cleveland for not having command of the locker room and lacked respect from his players (see Baker Mayfield’s stare-down or Damarious Randall’s ball-flip). Whoever Mike Brown selects from his contact book to lead the Bengals in 2019, they should be someone who players respect.
