As Zac Taylor and the Los Angeles Rams prepare for Superbowl 53, Cincinnati fans should be excited about the experience he is gaining this postseason.

Bengals head coach-in-waiting Zac Taylor is on his way to Superbowl 53 as the quarterbacks’ coach of the Los Angeles Rams. This will be Zac’s first Superbowl appearance, and Bengals fans everywhere will no doubt be tuning in to see Taylor’s offense in the biggest game of the season.

Taylor’s impact on Los Angeles this year is obvious, given the tremendous development of quarterback Jared Goff. Bengals fans should look forward to seeing their future head coach do one final round with the franchise quarterback before he heads to Cincinnati, where he will most likely attempt to find another. Getting to the Superbowl, however, is plenty for Bengals fans to be excited about.

Being only 35 years old, it is understandable that some Bengals fans would wish for a little more experience out of Taylor before he became a head coach. However, he is getting plenty of experience during this playoff run. Forget getting to coach extra games, he is coaching in the BIGGEST games. He is part of an organization that is winning games that Bengals fans dreamed they could win during the last sixteen years. There is clearly some reason to hope that Taylor’s experience of winning playoff games will carry over to his new job.

As Bengals fans may be upset that they have to wait another few weeks until their new head coach can begin working, take a moment to consider it from a different angle. Allow Taylor to soak up all the valuable playoff experience that he can. A Superbowl ring would go a great ways towards proving to his new players that Taylor understands what is needed to go the distance.
