There’s no question that star tight end Tyler Eifert will be the biggest priority in front office discussions this offseason. The Bengals clearly played their best offensively this past season with Eifert on the field and he still remains a major weapon for quarterback Andy Dalton. However, every Bengals fan knows just how fragile he’s been throughout his career here and it’s essential that the front office navigates any contract negotiations carefully. Having only played in 14 games the past 3 seasons, I expect he will only be offered a one or two year deal so the team can avoid any major commitment. All in all, he can still be a major contributor for this offense and I would love to see Eifert return for next year and beyond, but the contract must be done right.
