Dennard was taken by the Bengals in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and hasn’t necessarily lived up to all the hype. Yes, he’s been consistent and deserves playing time on this Bengals defense, but I believe Bengals fans were hoping for a little more production out of a first round pick. During his five year career in Cincinnati, he’s only started nineteen games and has only three career interceptions. However, I still think he’s the second best CB on the roster and it’s important that the Bengals bring him back to at least provide depth and consistency to this struggling defense.
