After another losing season, the Bengals have multiple needs that need to be addressed in order to be competitive in the 2019-20 season.
Coming into the 2018 season, I was very optimistic about the direction that the organization was heading. Everyone was finally healthy and after a 4-1 start to the season, it seemed as if the team was ready to make a run to the playoffs. However, after multiple injuries to key players and embarrassing losses to the Chiefs and Steelers, the Bengals fell right back into mediocrity. In doing so, they exposed some of their most glaring weaknesses that will require major change going into the 2019 season. The firing of Marvin Lewis was definitely a huge step in the right direction, but in this article I’ll analyze 3 more issues that must be addressed for the Bengals to be successful moving forward.
