NFL Draft 2019: The Cincinnati Bengals Select Jonah Williams

With the 11th overall pick in the NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select OT Jonah Williams. This pick shows that protecting Andy Dalton and creating running lanes for Joe Mixon is clearly a top priority.
The Cincinnati Bengals have done a good job drafting over the past few seasons. Williams is a national champion and an enormous Joe Thomas fan. He brings the ability to anchor in passing sets and finish defenders in the run game. Williams also offers positional versatility because he can move along the offensive front. Yet, Williams is confident he can play tackle at the highest level.
The former Crimson Tide offensive lineman has the tools to be a huge upgrade at right tackle over Bobby Hart. Either Williams will overtake Hart or push him to play at a higher level, which allows Williams to be kicked inside at guard. Bypassing Dwayne Haskins and the other top quarterback prospects spells good news for Dalton. Mixon should also be ecstatic and feel confident that he can retain the AFC leading rusher crown. Regardless, the Bengals drafted one of the top offensive lineman in the entire draft class. This is a win and should be celebrated.
