In 2018, the Bengals finished 28th in the NFL with just 34 sacks. Despite this, they have not done much to improve what was a lousy pass rush last season.

One player that could help with that significantly at a reasonable price is Nick Perry. Perry has spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers.

He has posted multiple seasons with seven or more sacks including an 11 sack season in 2016. Like Compton though, Perry has suffered his fair share of injuries and has never played a full 16 game season.

Even so, his ability to get to the quarterback when healthy makes him a worthwhile gamble for a Bengals team that lacks a consistent pass rush.
