Week 1 has the Cincinnati Bengals on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. For Zac Taylor to get his first win as a head coach, he’ll need some key areas to break just right in the Pacific Northwest.

The Pacific Northwest isn’t an easy trip in the NFL. In Week 1, the Cincinnati Bengals will make the trek to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in a game that begins 17 weeks of the Zac Taylor era.

For the Bengals to have a fighting chance against a defense that just added Jadeveon Clowney, Taylor will need his offense to click right out of the gate. As if that wasn’t enough, Cincinnati will have to contend with one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson. No easy task to open the season.

Taylor will finally find out what he has on both sides of the football. He will also begin to see what the expectations are with an offensive line predicted to struggle. With Clowney part of the equation, it could be a long day for Andy Dalton.

Fans will also get a chance to check out how a new offense will function under the control of Taylor. Expectations are high, especially for running back Joe Mixon who has had no problem saying what people saw in Los Angeles with the Rams could happen in Cincinnati.

Maybe.

Either way, here are three key areas and personnel who will need a big effort in Week 1 to bring victory home to Cincinnati.
