Like a lot of fans and NFL watchers, I was all in on the Bengals after a near win in Seattle in Week 1. I drank that Kool-Aid, then promptly watched Cincinnati go in the tank in their home opener against the 49ers. Week 3 validated issues with the defense as they lost a third straight at a good Buffalo team.

However, Week 4 feels different if for no other reason than the Steelers don’t have Big Ben. Love him or hate him, he’s a significant loss for a Pittsburgh team projected to be much better.

That will be a big void on Monday night. And it’s also a big help for a Bengals team who need a win as badly as their opponent.

The Steelers always sport a significant home-field advantage. With Monday Night Football coming to town, the glare will be white-hot for both AFC North rivals. The question is if it’s a night too big for a player like Rudolph?

If there was ever a game where quarterback experience was an edge, it’s Week 4. Dalton is the better and more experienced quarterback. In a game where 0-3 is the one common denominator, whoever is playing quarterback for both teams is something that will tip the scales one way or the other.

Next. The Bengals are quickly becoming a One Trick Pony. dark

It’s hard to not like Cincinnati on Monday night. Rudolph is some time away from winning a game like this. Things might look different in late November when these two teams play again in Paul Brown Stadium, but this week it’s a deciding factor.
