Right now, no other 2020 quarterback has a higher ceiling than Justin Herbert. He has great size at 6’6″, 240 pounds. He will have old school scouts drooling as he has every tool that comes to mind when you think of a typical NFL quarterback. He has the height, arm strength, and smarts to dissect an NFL defense one day.

Herbert is someone that Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor may fall in love with. Taylor preaches knowing the “why” of a play rather than just blindly running it, which is something the Oregon signal-caller should excel at. I fully expect him to do extremely well in interviews and impress franchise decision-makers. By the time the combine process is over, every coach will know he has the ability to read a defense and make checks as needed.

He’s impressive on and off the field, as he is somehow able to balance the schoolwork of a biology major and produce between the lines as well.

He also has maturity and experience working in his favor. He had the opportunity to come out of college last season but elected to stay for his senior campaign. He had millions of dollars offered to him and he turned it down for another year of school work and putting his body on the line. That should speak volumes to his character.
