Six quarterback prospects the Cincinnati Bengals could target in 2020
Another quarterback Duke Tobin was in attendance to see was Jordan Love from Utah State. He’s not a well-known name now, but trust me, he will be by the time draft day rolls around.
He’s getting comparisons to Patrick Mahomes, which will make franchises and fans fall in love with him. He’s got a long way to go before reaching that level but he has the kind of natural arm strength that lets him effortlessly flick the ball wherever he wants on the field. That much is evident in the video above from @JReidNFL at The Draft Network.
He has some concerns, as he can be careless with the ball and he hasn’t played the level of competition as consistently as some of these other prospects.
Expect a longer transition period for Love as well. At Utah State, he hasn’t experienced defenses with the same semblance of speed that he will face in the NFL. Still, Love has a lot of upside and should be someone Bengal’s fans keep their eyes on throughout the process. He’s definitely a gamble but the potential reward may just be too tempting to pass up. Right now, fans can consider him a boom or bust type of player.
