If the Cincinnati Bengals decides to address other areas of need in the opening rounds of the draft, a guy they may be able to target in later rounds is Thayer Munford.

Munford went to Ohio State as a last-second addition after he flew under the radar for most of his high school career. His recruitment status didn’t stop him though, as he locked down the left tackle position his sophomore season, beating out other players who were rated much higher than him.

The thing that is most exciting about Munford, however, is that he hasn’t even come close to realizing his full potential yet. He was just starting to hit his stride during his sophomore year when injury struck. He missed a lot of pre-season snaps this year due to that injury as well. If the Bengals were able to secure Bill Callahan this off-season, a coach notorious for his ability in developing players, he could really help the Ohio native use all of his natural abilities.

Next. Emotion aside, the Bengals should trade A.J. Green. dark

As the season progresses the Bengals would be smart to keep an eye on the Junior from Ohio State. He entered college under the radar and he may enter the NFL the same way. Don’t be surprised if he continues to outperform expectations and the Bengals find a steal in the middle rounds.
