The losses continue for the Cincinnati Bengals, this time at the hands of AFC North rival, Baltimore Ravens. The 23-17 loss is the sixth straight as they head home for a Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost another game to remain 0 for 2019. Against what looked like a rejuvenated Lamar Jackson, Zac Taylor and Co. dropped a sixth-straight loss to the Baltimore Ravens 23-17.

It wasn’t as close as the final score would indicate. Jackson, who struggled in Pittsburgh last week, got going early, as he’d put up some incredible numbers in Week 6. The Ravens quarterback threw for 21 of 33 for 236 yards. He would add to those numbers, rushing for another 152 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. He would cool off a bit after the hot start but was the kind of threat the Bengals would struggle with all afternoon.

Cincinnati never looked to be in this game. After an opening kickoff return for a touchdown, it was the same old story. Stalled offensive possessions and no momentum to speak of. The 23-17 score is not an indication of how close the Bengals ever were to a first win. It was, however, an indication that a first win could be a long time to come.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was unimpressive early. He did manage to find some help with wide receiver Auden Tate. In a sixth straight loss, Tate was a bright spot for Cincinnati, catching five balls for 91 yards. For his part, Dalton had a decent line in the loss. He would complete 22 passes on 39 attempts for 235 yards and one interception.

The loss at Baltimore keeps the Bengals winless in the 2019 season. They get the 2-4 Jacksonville Jaguars who lost at home in Week 6 to the New Orleans Saints 13-6. It’s the last Bengals home game before a trip to London to play the Los Angeles Rams.
