Bengals Conspiracy Theory: Stealth Tank was ALWAYS the plan
By Logi Baker
If any of this is true, I’m actually kind of impressed. I’m the type of fan that gets enjoyment out of watching a game every Sunday. Win, lose or draw I just want to cheer for my team and see what happens. Some fans are wired differently. So the knowledge that the team is not competing for a championship this season spoils the entire experience. There is no wrong way to be a fan. If even part of these many theories is true, the type of fan you are will influence how you perceive these actions.
It’s a very strong possibility that this is all just speculation by fans as an exercise in optimism. Perhaps we all just hope that there is a master plan because the alternative is that our favorite players all suck and everyone managing the team is just bad at their jobs. But I don’t think that’s really the case. If you go read some stories from last year about the 49ers, you’ll find that a lot of fans thought John Lynch must be bad as a GM due to the team’s struggles. But now the Niners are winning, and all is forgiven.
So maybe it’s not really the most positive position to paint your team’s management, coaches, and even key players as being part of a widespread sinister plan to put fans through a roller coaster of emotions and heartbreak. But honestly, thinking about it has been more fun than actually watching the games at times. But don’t you kinda hope that someone in the front office has a “master plan”?
I had fun writing this, and I look forward to hearing some of your crazy conspiracy theories. Have you been thinking these things all along? Did some part of these theories strike a chord with you? I’d love to hear from you in the comments and on social media! Who Dey.
