The Cincinnati Bengals are still looking for their first win of the 2019 NFL season, and with the Jacksonville Jaguars coming to town, they may finally get it.

One thing fans are beginning to see is that quarterbacks who have been struggling, or rookies needing to begin the long process of establishing themselves in the league, find success playing the Cincinnati Bengals. Bad defenses will do that, and in Cincinnati, a bad defense is easily found.

Week 7 brings a still unknown to Paul Brown Stadium when rookie Gardner Minshew brings his Jacksonville Jaguars to town for a game against a still winless Bengals team. Entering Sunday play, Cincinnati is slowly starting to resemble a team in turmoil. Injuries, trade rumors, and now a significant suspension have first-year head coach Zac Taylor upside down.

At 0-6 and going nowhere fast, the Bengals need something good to happen. Getting a win, a first win, wouldn’t necessarily calm the waters, but it would help, and Jacksonville might be the team who does that.

With uncertainty all around, the Jaguars are great timing. With a rookie quarterback, the loss of Jalen Ramsey in a trade to the Rams, and a certain element of desperation in Cincinnati, Week 7 becomes big. As the team heads to London for a game against Los Angeles next week, Jacksonville might be their last best chance for a win before the bye week.
