It must make Cincinnati Bengals fans wince when they see Lamar Jackson in Paul Brown Stadium. The Bengals have made it an absolute art form in passing over some truly great young quarterbacks the last couple of drafts, so Week 10 was just another afternoon of “what if.”

Indeed, “what if?”

Jackson furthered his MVP candidacy on Sunday when he absolutely destroyed the Bengals defense. If he wasn’t doing it by throwing the football, he was doing it with his legs. Against Cincinnati, Jackson would throw for 223 yards, completing 15 passes on 17 attempts, for three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

For fun, he’d kick in another 65 yards rushing on seven attempts. All told, he would score four touchdowns, with three through the air and rushing for the third.

This is becoming a new normal for Jackson. For fans who thought the Patriots game was a “one-off” think again. Jackson, who some thought a one year wonder, has busted the sophomore slump prediction for a shot at league MVP. But, he’s ramping up for more, believe that.

Jackson has his Ravens in a good position not just for a division title, but is also showing this team can go deep in the playoffs. With a few more games like he had Week 10 in Cincinnati, he may lock up an MVP too.
