New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold looks to be a young quarterback finally finding his groove. He’s tossed seven touchdowns against one interception during their three-game win streak, and if confidence is an indication, he’ll look to keep those numbers going, which could lead to some mistakes.

Darnold looks to be the guy the Jets were hoping for when they drafted him out of USC. Despite missing some games due to illness earlier this season, New York is finally seeing some success. They’ve beaten the Giants, Redskins, and Raiders and are hoping to tee up another win in Week 13 against the winless Bengals.

For the Jets to win in Week 13, they’ll need to take advantage of a defense that has struggled in 2019. That might be a tall order as the Bengals have shown something of a pulse on defense. They have managed in the last two weeks to keep Cincinnati in games late, and this week, if they can do the same with Darnold, you have to like Cincinnati’s chances.

Darnold is going to be a star in this league, sooner rather than later. If Finley is starting, you could make a winning argument the USC alum is the better quarterback on the field. However, with Dalton as his counterpart on Sunday, that won’t be the case.

The Bengals defense shows some fight and forces three interceptions as Darnold comes back to earth in Week 13.
