Cincinnati Bengals: Full 7 Round Mock Draft CFP Semi-Finals Edition
The pick here doesn’t change from what most mock drafts have for the Bengals. Since our most recent mock draft featuring Joe Burrow, he has only gone on to further solidify his case for the Bengals to bring him back home to Ohio. He led his team to an SEC championship in dominating fashion, secured the Heisman trophy, and continued his statistically marvelous season.
As mentioned before, he doesn’t face a particularly enormous challenge in Oklahoma’s secondary. However, if he makes it to the next round, he’ll face off against high-caliber NFL defensive backs, whether it be Ohio State or Clemson. If he’s able to dominate against either team, he could make the decision of what to do that much easier for Bengals ownership.
While he’s in the midst of passing on-the-field tests, he has already proven he’s exactly what any franchise would want off the field. In addition to his obvious work ethic, leadership, and fire, he advocated for children living in poverty in his Heisman speech. That kind of thing speaks to his desire for helping the community, something that should be welcome in Cincinnati.
Drafting a quarterback is much more than just the product on the field. If selected, Burrow and the Bengals franchise become synonymous and that means he must represent them in all aspects. So far, he’s proving he can do just that.
