With the uncertainty of A.J. Green’s free agency status, John Ross’ contract set to expire after next season, and the injuries that have plagued the group, the Bengals would be wise to take advantage of this unprecedented wide receiver class. At this point in the draft, there is no better option than Ohio State’s K.J. Hill.

Hill has been a steady receiver with sure hands for the Buckeyes throughout the entirety of his career. This season alone, he’s hauled in 10 touchdown passes. He even broke Ohio State’s all time receptions record. That kind of consistency will be vital for the young quarterback the Bengals will likely bring in this off-season.

In addition to his play at wide-receiver, he has the size and speed to make significant contributions on special teams right away.

To top it all off, Hill was named a captain this off-season. Adding that kind of leadership this late in the draft is always a plus.

Keep an eye on the shifty wide out as he faces off against Clemson’s talented secondary. If Ohio State encounters a situation where they must score, don’t be surprised if they turn to Hill to get them in the end zone.
