Andrew Thomas is the kind of player that you can plug into the starting lineup, and likely not worry for a lot of NFL seasons. He’s a guy who will deliver results immediately and provide the Cincinnati Bengals positive dividends for years to come.

The 6′-foot-5”, 320 lbs. offensive lineman is just what the Bengals need as they usher in a new era of football in Cincinnati. The junior from Georgia has a lot of length and will excel at the pro level. He’s a solid blocker in pass protection with good balance and hand technique. As for run blocking, he is quick out of his stance and can get to the second level. He’s a physical player with a nasty temperament, which will serve him well in a tough AFC North.

Perhaps the best thing about Thomas is his pedigree. He played in the always tough SEC at a school regularly in the mix for a conference title. He’s a brawler who has the perfect size for an offensive tackle. He has a high football IQ and won’t be easily rattled against veteran NFL talent.

Thomas changes the perception in Cincinnati and the perception of the Bengals in the league. As the organization’s second pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, teams and fans alike will immediately know it’s not business as usual in the Queen City.
