Kyle Dugger, S

Kyle Dugger is a safety out of Lenoir-Rhyne, a division two school in North Carolina. Although some are skeptical of taking a division two player this early, Dugger is a versatile and athletic defensive player and someone Cincinnati should seriously consider selecting.

The 6’2″ defensive back is considered a safety but can also play linebacker, one of the Bengal’s biggest needs. Dugger is roughly the same size as Akeem Davis-Gaither, who is one of the most desired linebackers in the middle rounds of the draft this year.

Aside from being one of the best athletes in the prospect pool this year, the hybrid safety has tremendous ball skills and high potential in coverage. A versatile defender like Dugger would be a great fit in the Bengals defense.

Lucas Niang, OT

Offensive line is a position group that needs to be addressed in the 2020 NFL draft. With the opportunity to add guys like Joe Thuney, Graham Glasgow, or Jack Conklin in free agency, round 3 could be a good time to pick up another offensive lineman.

Lucas Niang, the tackle out of TCU is great at the point of attack, and a balanced mix of strength and athletic ability would make Niang a solid pick at 65. Getting a strong offensive tackle to help a young quarterback in Burrow, along with last year’s first-round pick Jonah Williams, is a good plan should the Bengals choose to go that route.

Amik Robertson, CB

Louisiana Tech All-American cornerback Amik Robertson had a very impressive NFL combine, and if the Bengals choose not to draft a corner in the second round, pick 65 could be a good time to select Robertson.

The 5’9″ defensive back is considered a little undersized but makes up for it in other areas such as football IQ and athletic ability. A versatile defender like Robertson would fit in well with the Bengals defense, and with his ability to play as a slot corner, the 21-year-old would immediately upgrade the Bengals secondary.
