Here, we run through each of the Cincinnati Bengals picks of the 2017 draft, selecting different players based on how they’ve performed so far.

As of recently, the news cycle surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals has been mainly focused on the future, and rightfully so. After a string of disappointing seasons, fans seem ready to look towards brighter days that include the hopes of Joe Burrow, a few more notches in the win column, and meaningful football for the Queen City late in the season.

However, the lull between the end of the scouting combine and the opening of the free agency period provides an opportunity to reflect back to wonder– what if?

Three years removed is the typical amount of time given to a draft class before judgment is fully passed on. The Bengal’s front office definitely found some cornerstone players in their 2017 draft with their whopping 11 selections. Still, as with any franchise, they could have done better.

Here, we’ll go back to each pick in all 7 rounds and re-select it based on how the original player has performed in Cincinnati, who was available on the board, and the current needs of the team. How drastically different could the course of the organization be if they made these selections instead of their original picks?
