The Cincinnati Bengals have a lot of big decisions coming up this offseason. Deciding who to take with the first pick in the draft, how to handle the A.J. Green situation, and figuring out how much to spend on outside free agents, to name a few. One of the biggest decisions they will have to make is what to do about running back Joe Mixon, who is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract.

The Bengals drafted Mixon with the 48th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He eventually earned the starting job over Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard.

Mixon has had an impressive start to his career in Cincinnati so far, totaling over 1,000 yards in each of his two seasons as a full-time starter, including 2018 where he had the most rushing yards of all AFC running backs with 1,168 yards. In addition, Pro Football Focus (PFF) gave Mixon a solid grade of 75.1 for the 2019 season.

Because of the great start to his career, Mixon will likely be asking for substantial money in a potential contract extension. Other top NFL running backs have gotten $13 Million+ in recent offseasons. Should the Bengals pay up, or let Mixon walk?
