Cincinnati Bengals 2020 Mock Free Agency Period

The results laid out would probably be a best-case scenario. The Bengals would have to compete against the many other franchises flush with cap space and vying for the services of the players mentioned. Still, Zac Taylor may very well be a tremendous recruiter. After all, he was able to keep his team bought in and playing hard despite a frustrating 2-14 season. If he can pull that off, he can surely convince free agents that the future is bright in Cincinnati.
The team still has around $14.5 million in cap space, which is enough to sign their rookie class and make any additions later in the season in case of injury. It also gives them a little extra money to roll over for extensions in the future.
The haul here is significant. The front office keeps the majority of their in-house, high impact players, while also bringing in major talent.
The linebacker core would consist of Germaine Pratt, Nick Kwiatkowski, and coverage specialist Cory Littleton.
The offensive line would have two extremely talented bookends protecting Burrow, a good anchor in Trey Hopkins, and young guards with a lot of upside.
Perhaps the best part, this free agency period would allow the Bengals to strictly go best player available in the draft, setting them up for long term success. Denzel Mims falls to 33? Scoop up the dangerous playmaker for Burrow. Grant Delpit falls into their lap? Take him, despite the lack of need at safety.

This free agency period may be more of the same for Bengals fans. However, as things stand and hope still remains, these options remain a possibility.
