This is the easiest pick in the history of mock drafts. Joe Burrow will be the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and it will be the Cincinnati Bengals taking him. Don’t listen to outsiders saying that the front office may trade out of the pick or take another player. This pick can be written in Sharpie.

Burrow is the most pro-ready quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck was taken in the 2012 Draft. He has the ability to completely transform the team and could do so as early as his rookie season.

The Bengals already have some good weapons for Burrow to distribute the ball to this season. Between A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, and Joe Mixon, the reigning Heisman and National Champion will be in a position to put up good passing production immediately.

One thing that sets Burrow apart from other quarterback prospects is his ability to go off-script and make big plays when the pocket breaks down. This trait has become much more important in recent NFL seasons with players like Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson taking the league by storm. Burrow may not immediately have as significant an impact as Mahomes did his first year as a starter, but he will do wonders for an offense that has had Andy Dalton as the lead man for 9 seasons.
