The heart and soul of the Cincinnati Bengals, Joe Mixon may very well have to be the betting favorite to represent the orange and black on the NFL’s prestigious list in 10 years’ time.

Mixon now has three years under his belt, and they’ve been impressive campaigns, to say the least. He’s had to deal with revolving doors at many of the offensive line positions but has still managed to eclipse 1,000 yards in each of the past two seasons. If the Bengals can get their offensive line up to par, the former Sooner running back could light up the league for years to come.

Fans have yet to come close to seeing Mixon’s full potential, as he’s been underused in the passing game. Flip on the college tape, and it’s clear he’s just as much of a weapon through the air as he is on the ground. Expect Zac Taylor and offensive coordinator Brian Callahan to find ways to get him involved in the passing attack next year, further adding to his potential to take the NFL by storm.

Mixon will likely be competing against the likes of Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliot, Christian McCaffrey, and others for one of the spots. It may very well come down to which player can remain healthy and continue to boost their numbers throughout the years.
