Each of the four wide-receiver selections for the 2010 all-decade team went to outside receivers, but perhaps Tyler Boyd can buck that trend in the next decade and secure a spot for a slot wideout.

Boyd, much like Mixon, has also secured 1,000-yard campaigns in each of the past two years, despite having to overcome significant obstacles. With the Bengals set to add a top tier talent at quarterback this offseason and other offensive options coming into their own, it could set up Boyd to take the next step in his career.

He’s already 25-years-old, so he’ll have to prove his longevity to make sure he remains fresh in the minds of voters 10 years from now. Thankfully, Boyd doesn’t rely solely on athleticism to earn his production, but rather, crisp route running and technique. Combine that with the fact that Boyd is one of the fiercest competitors out there, and there’s reason to believe he could still be going many years down the line.

Boyd already has moments that have solidified his star potential in his young career, namely his game-winning 49-yard touchdown in the dwindling seconds of a matchup against the Ravens. If he can continue to perform in clutch moments, he could earn himself a spot on the 2020’s all-decade team.
